What to expect at our Woods Cross pickup
If you have never done an off-lake rental before, the pickup process can feel like a mystery. Here is the full walk-through so you arrive knowing what happens.
You arrive in Woods Cross
Our pickup is at 901 S. 1800 W in Woods Cross, and during the rental season, April through October, we’re open 8 AM to 8 PM daily. When you pull in, park next to the trailers with the rental machines on them. Check-in takes about 5 minutes.
Paperwork + safety course check
Our booking partner (Recreogo) handles the digital waiver and payment. You will have signed the waiver online before arriving. We verify your driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance, check your proof of Utah’s annual boating safety course (or go through the state’s safety briefing with you if you haven’t taken it), and place the refundable $500 damage hold per machine on your card. It’s released within 3 to 7 business days after the machine comes back in its original condition.
Machine walk-around
We show you: the start/stop button and kill switch lanyard (clips to your life jacket), the throttle and handlebar turning, the iBR brake and reverse lever, the trim controls, how to board from the water, and the dashboard basics (speed, fuel, trim). Questions are encouraged. We would rather spend an extra 10 minutes now than have you confused on the water.
Trailer hookup
We hitch the trailer to your vehicle, hook up the safety chains and check the lights with you. Then we go over the ramp: drain plugs in before you launch, the straps and winch, and loading back up (plugs out for the drive home, as Utah law requires). Your vehicle needs a 2-inch hitch and a flat 4-prong light hookup; we double-check both in person.
On your way
Total time from arrival to driving off: about 15 to 20 minutes. The machines go out with an empty tank and come back empty, so plan a fuel stop on your way to the lake. Gas cans are available on request; if you use one at the lake, refuel with the machine out of the water and away from the ramp, and follow the marina’s rules.
