Lakes within reach of West Jordan

  • Utah Lake: the closest big water, shallow and forgiving; ideal for first-timers and best in the morning before the wind.
  • Jordanelle: deep blue mountain water near Park City, with a wake-free zone at Hailstone that’s a calm spot to learn stand-up paddleboarding.
  • Deer Creek: a wide, scenic reservoir up Provo Canyon that goes glassy on calm mornings.

Why pick up off-lake?

Pick up from us instead of an on-lake shop and you skip the waterfront pricing. There’s no rental counter to wait at once you get to the lake, your machine is reserved and ready, and you choose the lake. You still share the public ramp, so on a busy weekend, get there early. First time on a jet ski? We’ll walk you through the controls and launching before you leave Woods Cross. Compare our three Sea-Doo models on the fleet page and see day rates on pricing.

Before you launch: from January 1, 2027, Utah requires an annual boating safety course for every driver, visitors from out of state included. Bring proof or we'll brief you at pickup, and every machine goes out clean, drained, and AIS-compliant.

West Jordan jet ski rental FAQ

How far is pickup from West Jordan?

About 25 minutes to our Woods Cross shop at 901 S. 1800 W. You pick up there and tow to the freshwater lake you choose.

What's the closest lake to West Jordan?

Utah Lake is the nearest big water and the easiest for first-timers. Jordanelle and Deer Creek are the scenic mountain alternatives toward Park City and Heber.

Which lake is best for first-timers?

Utah Lake (shallow and forgiving with plenty of open room) is our go-to for new riders. Pineview, to the north, is another calm, beginner-friendly option when its ramps are open. In 2026 its Port Ramp Marina closed for reconstruction, its Anderson Cove launch closed July 20 for low water, and from August 31 the reservoir was closed to motorized boats, so check the Forest Service's ramp status before you tow.

Do you rent waverunners?

Our personal watercraft are Sea-Doos, the same sit-down, three-rider machines people call jet skis or waverunners. Compare our three models on our fleet page.
